This amazing house was built by Bess of Hardwick, the second most powerful woman in Elizabethan England after the Queen. It also used an uncommon amount of glass for the time, hence the rhyme: Hardwick Hall, more window than wall. It was also featured on the BBC show Britain's Best Buildings and has one of Europe's finest collections of tapestries/textiles.http://nttreasurehunt.wordpress.com/category/hardwick-hall/

SO AMAZING!!! I need a house that I could hang a tapestry in without it looking silly.
